Nice unpretentious pub. Very good room and comfy beds. Good dinner. Breakfast ok.

Excellent location for attending the Newark Show Ground next day. Professional friendly staff, decent rooms and a really great meal in the bar area. Plenty of free parking and lovely rural surroundings. This is a real gem and have used several times.
Nothing - over the years it has been consistently good

The food at Breakfast and dinner was excellent, the room was listed as a suite it was basically a room with a couch in it, a piece of wood on the wall to hang your clothes, No wardrobe, bathroom had a great shower but limited room apart from that, the room had a fan, however it was on the upper floor heat rises and was a hot night anyway so room temperature was unbearable, looking if i got 3hrs sleep.
The room wasnt as expected other places i have stayed when told a suite was a proper suite, this was a slightly bigger room with a couch
