Ubud Inn Cottage by Prasi

Absolutely beautiful tropical gardens! The entire property is surrounded by lush greenery, and the swimming pool is nestled among gorgeous gardens. Even the restaurant, which faces the main street, has a beautiful fountain and tropical gardens at the back, making you feel like you're dining in the middle of a jungle. I even spotted monkeys in the trees while having breakfast! The location is fantastic, just a few steps from the Sacred Monkey Forest and right on Ubud's main street, within walking distance of the Royal Palace, countless restaurants, shops and massage spas. For the price, the location is excellent. I also loved the breakfast! I tried both the Western and traditional Indonesian options, and both were delicious. Enjoying breakfast surrounded by such beautiful tropical scenery was one of the highlights of my stay.

As I had already read in other reviews, there are quite a few millipedes around the property, especially at night. Since my ground-floor room had a terrace surrounded by tropical plants, several found their way inside. This is not a cleanliness issue but rather a consequence of being surrounded by such lush tropical vegetation. Once I realized they were harmless, I simply picked them up with a piece of paper and returned them to the garden. It wasn't a major problem for me, but guests who are uncomfortable with insects might prefer requesting an upstairs room with a balcony instead of a ground-floor room with a terrace. Another inconvenience was the lack of available electrical outlets next to the bed. Both outlets were occupied by the bedside lamps, so I had to leave my phone and other devices charging away from the bed. Finally, although my room was extremely spacious and comfortable, the bathroom lighting was insufficient for applying makeup, and I really missed having a full-length mirror. These small improvements would make the rooms even more comfortable.

Very nice spacious room nestled amongst beautiful tropical gardens. Quiet location close to shops, restaurants and cafes. Large swimming pool. Very friendly staff always smiling and helpful.

Breakfast offered excellent value for money. Dining setting was excellent and staff friendly. We appreciated a room change when stairs were challenging for us The garden and pool setting were absolutely beautiful

While the shower water pressure was good, it needed a screen to keep the bathroom floor dry. Also while the room was clean the shower needed attention.

Great location on Monkey Forest Road, beautiful gardens

I stayed in a ground floor room (208) opposite the pool. It was clean enough but felt a bit bare. And although the bathroom looked recently renovated, the whole room smelt like strong mould. The pool also looked a bit slimy so I opted not to swim. The staff were pleasant enough but seemed like they'd prefer to be home.
