Clean and comfortable, in a very convenient position and the breakfast was fab.

It was close enough to the city centre without being in the middle of it. Quiet. Nice pub and restaurant nearby. Also access to Rickerby Park and beyond into rolling country

Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations for the price. The rooms were freshly renovated, the staff were exceptional, breakfast was an absolute surprise. This hotel was exceptional.

Firstly, I found parking my car easier than I imagined it would be. Secondly, the reception area has recently been redecorated with pictures of the lakes and many pleasing visual features. On the ground floor, next to reception is a comfortable lounge/bar area. Upstairs, my room was spacious and warm with a comfortable mattress topper.
The breakfast dining area and selection were very good. The choice of fruits, yoghurt, cereal, and a great cooked breakfast, if you wish. Some GF options.
Sadly, the thermostat fitted to the radiator near the window was not working. Hopefully, this will be picked up by the relevant maintenance team.

The room was too hot so we had to have the window wide open. We made sure the radiator was turned off. We were next to a busy main road and slept poorly

First of all in the Cumbria Park Hotel I met the dearest receptionist ever, he was very kind, very helpful and patient. Unfortunately I couldn't remember his name, but for me he was Santa Claus.
In addition the hotel was really beautiful, we had huge and equipped rooms and the breakfast was awesome, especially the eggs benedict!!
Only miniature inconvenience was that the front doors were closed and we had to get around to the back door...but really nothing bad that I can say about this hotel!

Overnight stay on the way to Scotland, staff were very friendly, facilities clean breakfast excellent.
We use satnav to get there so drove by and missed the turning into the car park, but we did find it

The hotel has a large free car park. The room we got was a little bigger than most. There was a refrigerator in the room. It was quite modern.
The included breakfast was very good and the restaurant food was also very good.
It was located 15 minutes walk from the Castle.
Menu for dinner was limited..

Excellent location, only a term minute walk into the city centre. Good car parking, clean room, helpful staff, comfortable bed.
Bathroom could do with updating, shower was very poor.
Nowhere to hang damp towels, couldn't use bed side lamp as switch was behind the bed. Likewise, couldn't use the fan as the plug was behind the bed .

It was cheap and easy to find quite central

WiFi was poor couldn't play iplayer on my firestick couldn't connect phone at all
Room at front of building was very warm when opened window the noise was unbearable and bushes and trees were very overgrown
The bathroom was needing a clean pubic hair in the bath etc
Breakfast I came down at 8am and stood for what seemed like 20 minutes more like 5 with two members of staff constantly walking past me cleaning tables etc I eventually sat down and worked out what to do by myself
The whole 20 minutes I sat there nobody challenged me for name ir room number or if I was even a guest

The location is good, the staff in general were courteous and helpful and good parking facilities.
The room was quite adequate for my needs and perfectly comfortable with all the necessary facilities but there was an incessant sound of running water similar to that of a waste pipe from beyond the wall.
