Lovely old house, beautifully maintained and furnished. We had an ultra spacious and comfortable room and loved the bathroom. The heated towel rail was a special treat . Great staff.

This is a gem of a place to stay if you appreciate the style. You are welcomed as if you are a house guest. Clive, the manager, Kenneth, and the whole team are kind, helpful, discreet yet very friendly. There's a warm fire in the sitting room in the evening, a dining room, a library, a games room and a small honesty bar, as well as the garden and rooftop pool deck for guests to use. The room was tastefully furnished, with a large bathroom and lovely touches like candles, bath salts, homemade flapjacks and snacks in the room. Not to mention the turn down service, and beautifully served breakfast. There are many small shops and galleries, cafés and restaurants within walking distance in St. James and Kalk Bay. It was a relaxing and truly enjoyable stay.

This is not a 5* hotel, it doesn’t have the facilities to call it 5*.
