The directions, the staff were stiff and formal, they had a video game system, but none of the staff knew how to use it, not did they seem at all worried about cheating us out of one of their stars amenities. For serious people, a video game system is a waste of time. The hostel was clean, but it felt sterile, like a hospital. The breakfast buffet had a lot of good ingredients, but there were no suggestions on how to put any of it together into something tasty. The location is far from the city center, so you need to take an expensive tram into town. The distance isn't very long, by tram, but with Norway's prices, you might as well pay for a super budget hotel, and be closer to everything, as well as having your own room, even if it is a small one.

One of the best hostels I've been in my life. It was very clean and comfortable and I completely recommend it. The staff were even better, so kind, friendly and helpful, especially the guys on the reception, who let me stay extra night hours in the lobby on a cold day while I waited for my flight transfer. They even offered me free food, coffee and juice while I stayed there. I felt so welcomed and appreciated there because of their good nature and next time I'm in Oslo I will definitely come back to stay at the HI Oslo Haraldsheim! Big thanks to them! 🙏 Best regards!

Great kitchen nice room and fabulous breakfast and just 20 mins from central Oslo by Tram or bus both close by which run till early hours
