easyHotel Glasgow City

It was convenient for me for an overnight stay.

It suited my purpose so nothing not to like.

It was a great location for the event we were attending. The shower was good. It is a little compact but it was fine for one night. This was not a noisy hotel, heard a few folk coming back from places late, but on the whole it was not a noisy or rowdy hotel.

One thing puzzled me. I have stayed here on numerous occasions before, but this time, the bed was very hard. I know it's a subjective thing and I would rather have a firm bed than a soft but for some reason my mattress felt like I was sleeping on the floor. Have the hotel changed mattresses recently, or got a new supplier? Having said this, my husband had no problem with his bed/mattress and slept fine. So perhaps it was just me? I'm not sure. Other than this and the fact we would have liked a bigger shelf in the room (to put things on), for one night our stay was fine.

Ease of check in, simple and clean room, friendly staff, dog friendly.

The bed was quite uncomfortable and there’s no alternative to the big light.

I truly think we got what we paid for. It had the essentials, bed and shower. The AC topped it up for us. Staff was great and helpful.

The toilet had a specific smell to it, (spoilt milk, dirty socks) and would spread to the entire room that only through turning on the AC is that this could be ignored. The toilet in itself Its pretty small, and condensation builds up quickly. A better airflow could be introduced, I noticed there is a fan which would not turn on even if the lights were lit up, to help with the condensation. The rug in the lift could be cleaned. Again, there was a strange smell coming from it.
