Radisson Blu Resort Gran Canaria

Booked this as a wee surprise for my partner for his birthday during our stay in puerto rico for an overnight stay. We booked room with whirl tub which made our stay. Stayed half board food was lovely drinks reasonable. Pool are lovely ordered at pool bar bar man brought drinks over. Walked along to Anfi lovely little town had evening dinner at hotel then walked into Anfi found a nice pub with a singer lovely wee night then strolled back to hotel hotel staff left a bottle of fizz and chocolate cake for my partners birthday which was a lovely touch would highly recommend this hotel

Very clean and tidy, plenty sunbeds and very helpful and friendly staff

Spacious, spotless, great facilities and fab location

The suite was spacious. The view and the pools are quite nice. The public beach nearby was very nice and not busy at all.

The hotel is dated and needs quite a bit of refurbishment. We had a washing machine which was mouldy inside, the way it is placed it is not possible to keep the door open and I only assume it causes a lot of mould. The smell in the room was horrible because of it. When we arrived the shower head was broken and the toilet water leaking. These were fixed as soon as we informed the staff, but was quite disappointing. The bath was also mouldy and rusty all around. These is not a 5 star hotel standard. The wallpaper was peeling off and the walls were dirty in places. All in all it needs a good clean up and full refurbishment. We were also disappointed about the quality of the food. We came from another hotel on a neighbouring island and the standard of food was exceptional. In comparison here there was a lot of fast food and the feeling overall of like it was a school canteen. On our first morning we were served filtered coffee with milk on the side and the milk has gone off. The staff did change it as soon as we told them, but we were shocked and left wondering what else is being served off. All in all a bit disappointed at the standard of the hotel especially having experienced amazing standard on a neighbouring island for a cheaper price.
