Hotel old and full of character, with our room at the rear of the premises modern but charming, and very quiet in spite of being at the back of a hotel on the main street in the town centre! Staff were welcoming and very friendly, and the food excellent.
Parking could have its challenges as it is not a huge car park, and parking is on a first come first served basis, though entry is controlled by a barrier. Staff are fully aware of the issue and manage the situation where necessary

Room was comfortable and clean. Dinner in restaurant was very good with great choice.

The rooms were clean and tidy A little fridge with fresh milk and a bonus bottle of beer and also a bottle of water. Some biscuits on the complimentary tray was also nice. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was nice although the sausage was a bit fatty
We requested rooms close to each other that was not accommodated we were in different buildings although we booked this back in February When asked was told they were fully booked but we did book a while ago. The mattress was hard and both of us did not sleep well
