Sunrise Hotel & Apartments

Beautiful beach view from the top hotel room with the jacuzzi. This property is tucked into a little cove and there are only 4 others around it. It is about 300 feet from the beach which has good snorkeling. This is a family run business and not "posh" or super modern in its decor. We were looking for a more private feel close to the beach with a jacuzzi for a budget price. This hit this spot. We rented a car to arrive that the property.

Great stay! We had a lovely view from both rooms, and the location was perfect for us — a small, peaceful bay without too many people around. There are 2–3 beach bars and tavernas nearby, with a few more lovely options about a 10-minute walk away in the next bay. You can also rent beach chairs for a very good price compared to other places. The reception was wonderful, it’s a lovely family-run place, and our toddler especially enjoyed playing in the pool with the other children. The breakfast was great, and the garden is beautiful and very well kept. We also received some of their own honey as a gift, which was such a lovely and thoughtful touch. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!

The place was amazing, I like all the flowers around the hotel. Manolia, the owner and her family were friendly and always ready to help, give advice and they looked after the place and always clean the area and the pool. The breakfast, they served was homemade and as I am vegetarian, I also found a lot to choose from for example vegetable, fried eggs, cheese and different types of bread. Also honey, jams and sweat treats. The room had a little kitchen with a fridge, we made sometimes teas and coffees and cut some fruit. They cleaned the room every 2 days, supplied toilet paper and dmptied bins. Great service! You can walk less than 5 minutes to the nearest beach, which was clean and peaceful. Awarded Blue Flag besch. I really enjoyed our stay there and generally Crete.

Sometimes there was a strong wind, but otherwise we had sunny and we could also watch the stars at night lying on the beach.

The staff were amazing and very friendly. They provided detailed information on places to visit and places to eat. The best food we had on Crete was recommended by the staff!

The AC didn't work the first night we arrived because the remote had no battery. The staff quickly worked to figure this out and fix it the next day, but it is still unpleasant to experience as AC was a listed service.
