На пляже нет лежаков, меню не меняется, все спортивные активности платные (теннис, билльярд, велосипеды), нет пляжного волейбола, нет европейцев, нет банкомата, который принимал бы европейские карты

I arrived at the Sheraton Haikou directly from the MGM Grand Sanya, and without a doubt, the Sheraton was a much nicer experience in many aspects. Check-in at the Sheraton (I am a foreign tourist, so I understand there are procedures to be undertaken) was under five minutes, whereas it took about 45 minutes at the MGM Grand, and they could immediately process a credit card payment, whereas the MGM Grand staff had to firstly locate such a machine and then find a second one after the first didn't function. One truly superior feature of the Sheraton is its live music and lobby bar. I enjoyed every second of the multilingual singer and keyboardist, who alternated between English- and Chinese-language songs. This was complemented by the central location of the bar (which allowed for people watching in the lobby) and a relaxing, dimly lit atmosphere. No such central bar exists at the MGM Grand Sanya, where their singers' English-language songs were practically incomprehensible to native speakers, as they clearly must not have been born, raised, or studied in an English environment. The Sheraton has a very lush, tropical tree-filled outdoor walkway leading to the resort's pool and beach that is particularly beautiful at nighttime, and the Breeze restaurant had a wonderful selection of international foods with great wait staff service. Lastly, the housekeeping staff was incredibly efficient, detailed, and responsive.

The hotel is about an hour's drive each way from the airport.

Cleanliness and it’s facilities

the property is very near to the beach and the facilities is suitable for kids and elderly. was worried about the smell initially but I’m fact it was not an issue at all. the breakfast was pretty good in terms of the varieties, taste and qualities. The beach is clean, very close to the Wu Yuan He wetland park. highly recommended! I would like to praise the swimming pool life guard team for their professionalism and their sense of humility. 1 of the late afternoon my daughter wants to play the slide but since it was slightly raining, the playground was closed. however, when the rain stop and become drizzled, the life guard opened for us and allowed us to play in a short while after knowing that we would be checking out the next day. thumbs up to the team!

on 5 June 2023 around 10am, one of the lady staff at the counter was not friendly. I consulted her about how to book the back trip from duty free shopping center to hotel, and was told me that can be done in the app, however I Hv tried and the app doesn’t hv this function so that was why I asked her how to book it. I was standing in front of her and again asked her to help, but she was busy with her stuff, there was no other customer except me. in the end another lady staff came and help me and explain to me in detail. Also told me that I don’t need to book the trip back and can just wait at the pick up point. So… obviously the first lady staff gave me the wrong info to me, if she was not sure, she can divert me to other expert but please don’t provide wrong information. another one is can the Hotel do vacuum cleaning to the pillow? my daughter suffered some bed bug bites one of the nights and I asked to change new pillow to her and the next few nights she is fine. no more bed bugs bites

The staff was attentive to all of our needs. The room was great and the grounds and pool area was nice.

The water slides were under construction and I would like to have had cocktails service at the pool area.

badly maintained and understaffed: -playground rusting away that kids cannot use it due to possibility of injury. -the landscape / garden was not maintained throughout the property looking quite wild in some areas. - old and partly not working arcade games for the kids - pool was not clean throughout - only parts of the pool were open to use

The slides for the kids, but just 2 of them were working.

You need to pay for to rent the kids inflated, the boat, board, etc. there is no beach in the hotel, you need to walk around 10 minutes, in the website its write that there is beach. The dinner buffet was not good. The room was smelling like humidity.
