3 onsens (2 with open bath) ; buffet dinner and breakfast, not bad at all.
it’s a huge resort, so they cater group tour ( we’re not disturbed at all because they arrive late end leave early)

Food was very good at breakfast and dinner. Having ur own bbq was superb. We were also upgraded half way through our stay as was my partners birthday. Staff could not do enough for us. Absolutely fabulous hotel!!!
Would have preferred later than 9 am shutting for breakfast

Nice onsen. Nice buffet food. Free shuttle bus is good for ppl like us that don’t drive. Amazing stuff. Good cafe!

Outdoor Onsen was beautiful. Staff was nice, speaks English and French. There was a cafe in the hotel that does very good cappuccino. Breakfast and dinner buffet were both good. 5 mins walk to cable car station.
Room was small and has very thin wall. Our neighbor was a family with young kid, heard a lot of noise during night.

A great hotel in the Sounkyo Onsen town. I love everything the hotel. The service, the half board (dinner and breakfast was great) and staff.

The breakfast buffet has many choices and all tasty. The dining hall is big, and if the hotel was near capacity it would likely be noisy and crowded.
For such a special location in the gorge, there are unfortunately no windows at all in the breakfast budget hall.

I highly highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is considering staying in the area. The staff were exceptional and the service was outstanding. We utilized the free shuttle bus from Asahikawa to the hotel and the shuttle to the Ice Fall Festival which made traveling extremely convenient. We had the in-room dining for dinner and the buffet for breakfast. The selection was varied and delicious. The onsen facilities in the hotel were very well kept and were all different from one another. This hotel went far and above our expectations. Highly recommend.

Amazing onsen on a unique spot

We stayed in a traditional Japanese room with comfortable tatami beds. The outdoors Onsen on Level 3 in the annex is very good. And would definitely recommend the food in the buffet - was the best hotel food we had on our Hokkaido trip.
The shops in the hotel weren't open when the signs said they would be which was a bit irritating.
