Maria is helpful and pleasant. The location was great. The suite was updated. I loved the view from the windows into the city. You can literally sit in the window.

The stairs. We were on the third floor or more. All stairs. Very difficult to haul large luggage to the top.

The location is perfect. Beatrice, the hostess, as well as the other other hostess I don’t know the name of, are absolutely lovely. I slept like a baby in an excellent bed. It was clean, quiet, comfortable and authentic. LOVELY

Rich in atmosphere, couldn't be more central, very comfortable and with a window overlooking a large square, and with a very friendly owner. Just perfect.

Tough going up all the stairs if you're carrying heavy suitcases - if you have difficulties with them 'on the ground', this might be tricky.

We had a lovely 1night stay at La Soffitta e la Torre in Orvieto. The place is in the attic of an old building in the city center, 5 mins walk from the Duomo. The ceiling of the hall is nicely fitted with wooden beams, and some rooms too, giving a special antique touch to the place. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There is a common sitting area with a fridge and a coffee machine. Beatrice and her mum were very kind and friendly hosts. They allowed us to do an early check in and have space to keep the luggage in case of later check out, that was very helpful given the hot temperatures of the summer. Orvieto is such a lovely city, if we had more time we would have loved to stay some extra days. It is small but there are many interesting attractions to visit and also it is so pleasant to walk around in the narrow cobblestone streets. Food in Orvieto is also a must, with many nice restaurants dotted around, selling local specialties at reasonable price (we had dinner at Osteria del Re, 5 mins away from the accommodation). We will definitely go back one day :)

It is not a critic, just a suggestion...although I know that with the new covid legislation and also with the licence of B&B in Italy is not that simple... Instead of packaged breakfast in the room, I would have preferred home made breakfast as I believe it will add a special touch to the place, especially in a region where food is great. Nevertheless, this did not affect our stay nor my review as in any case we could keep our own stuff in the fridge.

Extremely friendly host, excellent price and fantastic location.

The walls are thin so you can hear people in the corridors and next door rooms.

The English-speaking owners were communicative and absolutely delightful. The room was available for an early check-in, and the room is in a gorgeous traditional home. I felt completely at home, and the views over the piazza were lovely. All facilities excellent, including AC. A really fabulous place; I strongly recommend it.
