This is an absolutely perfect place to stay to fully take in the charms of Wengen. Magnificent views and beautifully decorated rooms and facilities. I wish I had longer to stay here! The staff were very accommodating and friendly too. Loved the extra treat of the apple caramel pie in the room too.

great view and location
we booked an accommodation for a couple with a 4 y child. we informed this on reservation and by email. I made clear I was travelling with a child and not a toddler or a baby. so I was not looking for an apartment for a couple. the hotel provided us an apartment for a couple and cot for a baby ( no bigger than 95 cm) we asked it to be replaced. the hotel keep us on the same apartment and grant us a bed. on the check out we had been charged an extra fee for the bed. there was no pre notice on charging. I see the charge was incorrect once we had be done for a entire family. the front desk could not provide us further explanation on the charging.

The location was excellent, the staff very friendly, the rooms spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable, the English TV channel choice better than usual, the balcony/view wonderful, the free sauna brilliant and the continental breakfast was very good.
A daily changing hot option at breakfast (other than the boiled egg) would have been welcome, but I was aware the hotel only provided a continental breakfast, which was very good, the bread choices especially. We didn't use the restaurant for dinner but might have been tempted to if a menu was readily available. The free shuttle service to/from the train station wasn't that well advertised.

Absolutely lovely! The location, food, and hospitality were fantastic! The bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size with an amazing view and access to the patio. The boot and ski rooms were convenient and the sauna was clean and well appointed, including chilled lemon water. The staff made us feel SO comfortable and welcome from the moment we walked in the door, and the walk to/from the lift was very convenient and easy

A few very minor items that would have further improved our wonderful stay 1) The shower half wall (vs door) wasn't able to prevent splashing outside no matter how carefully I angled the water, which combined with no vent/fan made the bathroom very wet. 2) More hooks on the walls in the room entry area would have been really helpful for letting gloves, goggles, helmets and jackets all dry better.

Loved the location and the facility . Room view was great! Staff (especially Jenny and her staff at the front desk) provided outstanding service and were very friendly.

The breakfast was excellent with a large selection. The hotel offers a perfect Swiss hotel experience. Very close to the tram that takes you up to the ski area.

The location was excellent. Hotel was incredibly clean and the staff was ridiculously nice. Wengen is incredible and pictures do not do it justice.
The mattresses are not the plushest things, but they are very normal for Europe.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Especially our waiter at dinner (Samuel).
The views are truly special.
Food at dinner was always good.
Could really use better pillows. I needed three just to get more like the equivalent to one.

Loved everything! I would definitely stay there again. Staff were really lovely and the bedroom was spacious, clean and I loved the view from the balcony. Breakfast was good, had a nice selection of things!
I wish there was a hot-tub but the sauna was lovely!

I stayed here for 7 nights over Xmas and it exceeded my expectations, from check in to departure I couldn't have asked for more. Great room size, freshly prepared cuisine, large balcony with views of Wengen and mountains. Lounge with tea and coffee facilities. Staff so helpful.
This hotel deserves an extra star.
I don't think dogs should be allowed in the main restaurant ! this surprised me when there is another room near to the bar.

Where to begin? The staff was always kind and helpful. The breakfast spread every morning was generous and filling. The location was perfect and about a 5 minute walk to the train station. The views from the room was stunning and access to the patio and lounge was a relaxing surprise. We loved our stay at the Schonegg and would absolutely return!
The only downside to our stay was how warm the room would get in the evening. We attempted to turn the heat down with no change. We had to sleep with our patio doors open by the end of our stay.

Hotel has the best location in Wengen.Amazing views of the Jungfrau from our room.Fantastic choice and variety at breakfast. All day tea and coffee available in first floor lounge with honesty bar. Easy walking around village to bars, restaurants and supermarkets.

The stay here exceeds my expectation. Booked one night for the room with luxury view. On the lovely beautiful balcony u get superb view of mountain Jungfrau and the town of Wengen. It’s a hotel plus restaurant, really like the wooden touch & deco of the place. Breakfast ok too, loved their pastry

the staff were very polite and helpful, the service was excellent and the location was spot on near the gondola and the train station.
the menu at the restaurant attached to the hotel was a bit limited, but the food and the staff were very good.
