Nice little homestay a short walk away from central Ubud with the palace at the end of the road and the water temple a bit further along, even though proximity to main area it’s very quiet and peaceful with nice garden surrounding, bonus I was able to see the sunset from the terrace. Lovely and kind family, all friendly and helpful. Assisted to my room with my bags on arrival and shortly after one of the children came to my room with a bottle of water which was a nice touch. Room very clean with daily housekeeping, no bugs considering surrounding greenery. Mosquito net around bed and good working air con. As a solo female I felt very welcomed, safe and enjoyed my stay here! They also provide assistance with travel and activities if needed.

No fridge in the room that I was staying in but from other reviews there are fridges available in other rooms or Family personal fridge if a necessity!

Ben’s Homestay is such a delightful place to stay - perfectly positioned in a quiet tropical haven within walking distance of the busy Kajeng market and peaceful rice fields in the other direction. Many fabulous restaurants and warungs close by. The family are so welcoming - it feels like you’re staying with friends. The rooms are large and airy with lovely outdoor areas for relaxing. This is our favourite place we’ve stayed in Ubud after many visits and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Wonderful place to stay, in a great location. The rooms were spacious and clean with a great bathroom. The grounds are beautiful. They were very accommodating and kind with refrigerating important medication in their personal room.

This is not the fault of Ben’s homestay, according to booking.com breakfast was included, which it wasn’t. They offer breakfast at a very reasonable rate, and there are great places to eat nearby.

Minor things like having to ask for toilet paper, no clean towels, bugs (cockroaches & ants), and the shower was clogged. Additionally, our toothbrushes were taken, and when we asked the owner, she denied taking them, but her son kindly bought us new ones. However, when we woke up in the morning our toothbrushes were left outside our room, which is strange and raises concerns about other things being taken from our room.. Felt a bit observed in general, and the owner would unexpectedly enter the room to turn the AC off (even if we left for a second), but nothing got cleaned/changed.
