Guest House Kura

The house is architecturally espectacular, I arrived and, put my bike on a safe place and sat down with the owner plus two workers and another cycle tourer and were offered refreshments, snacks and a great conversation. We were driven by friendly Tommy to the onseng where he took part with us, then we had dinner together and drove back to hotel to another lounge session. Felt like being received by friends,I have travelled my whole lige and this has been the best guest house experience ever.

The sun was very hot when cycling up from Joetsu, not sure thats the guesthouse fault though!

とにかくスタッフが素晴らしい。子どもにボードゲームをたくさん教えてくれました！多国籍なのも楽しい。

マットレスが合わなかった。

Staying in a 100 year old house was super cool, the garden was beautiful and facilities were everything you need. I loved the staff the most! Super friendly and helpful and all really good at English, thank you Nina for bringing board games too, so fun!

Be prepared to hear every noise in the building because of its age. If you’re a light sleeper, bring headphones or earplugs and you’ll be fine!

他のゲストやスタッフがとてもフレンドリーで初めて泊まるゲストハウスで不安でしたが…楽しく快適に過ごせました、今回は1泊での利用でしたが連泊したいと思わせるような宿でした、建物自体はとても古く趣のある宿ですので、最新の設備などは無く(個室でも鍵はない)プライベートを大事にする方は止めておいたほうがよいかもしれません…逆に私は新しい経験としてとても快適に楽しく過ごせました。

入り口が少し分かりづらいとは思いました。
