Ohana Phnom Penh Palace Hotel

A really nice modern hotel in a fantastic location. Room large and comfortable. Always clean Buffet breakfast varied also eggs and bacon provided cooked individually. Ground floor pool and gym modern and big. Rooftop restaurant great food and views. Also nice rooftop jacuzzis. Staff all very polite and helpful. High end at a great value.

No chair in.the room. Limited coffee and tea in the room. Stairs to top floor. Road is busy and little parking available.

Overall, I had a good stay and would stay here again. The location was excellent — right by the river, close to the Royal Palace, night market and restaurants, and very convenient for my sleeper bus. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe in the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I arrived around 9am after an early flight, and even though I had informed them of my early arrival I was told I could store luggage but the room may not be ready. However, my room was ready and they let me check in immediately. They also stored my luggage after check-out until 10pm, which I really appreciated. The room was spacious, comfortable and looked like the photos, although my window faced an unattractive neighbouring rooftop, so I kept the curtains closed most of the time. The pool was lovely, breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate, and the bar was affordable with a good happy hour. *Just a warning, the hotel's name is not in English outside so make sure you check the photos before arriving Overall, good value for money, excellent location and lovely staff. I would stay again, especially once the construction is finished.

The main downside was the really loud and consistent construction noise. I had been warned about construction beforehand, but I hadn't realised it was happening on the hotel property itself. The jackhammering made it difficult to relax by the pool or in my room and definitely affected my stay.

Location - to river and markets Free breakfast even though food is cheap outside of the hotel is cheap, it was easy to just go upstairs and eat then get ready and go out for the day They did accommodate an early check in by about an hour and a late check out by 8 hours (although it cost $30) I could have just booked another day...

After booking, i get the notice of construction going on - this should be stated up front since the reservation is not cancelable. I booked a Deluxe Double Room and the pictures for that type of room shows a city view, the description states theres a "view"... Our view was the building about 6 feet away from the building with dirty underware thrown on a tin roof outside. The bathroom was low quality for the higher end hotel they are trying to portray. An elevated bathtub with a shower head that falls off the mount and is mounted too low To me this booking was a bait and switch
