We had a wonderful stay and would happily return at any time. The island itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning turquoise water, lush and very well-maintained vegetation, and an especially beautiful beach on the sunrise side. We also loved that the natural beauty of the island is so well preserved, without the often very visible coastal protection measures that can take away from the feeling of being on a secluded island paradise. The seaplane transfer was a highlight in itself. We also particularly appreciated that every guest is provided with a beach bike in the appropriate size, including bikes for children and even bikes with child seats. Thanks to the wide tires, they are perfect for comfortably exploring the paths around the island — our children especially loved this. The resort has a very special concept. There is no traditional reception — instead, you are taken directly to your villa, where your butler takes care of check-in and check-out. Our butler Sarah was exceptionally attentive and helpful, and always available via WhatsApp whenever we had questions or needed anything arranged. The staff as a whole were genuinely friendly and attentive. We also had to use the island’s medical services twice during our stay, and on both occasions we were helped quickly, professionally and with great care. The quality of the food was excellent and the menus were creative and very thoughtfully designed. Rather than having a large buffet for every meal every day, most meals were served à la carte, which we really appreciated. The staff were also wonderfully accommodating with our children, happily preparing special requests or even offering dishes that were not on the menu at all. Our pool villa on the sunrise side was beautiful, very well maintained and cleaned twice daily. Snorkelling around the island was also fantastic: we saw plenty of colourful fish and sharks, and with a little luck, turtles can even be spotted.

The staff. Always welcoming and thoughtful. The overwater villas are beautiful and the entire island feels unspoilt. A shout out to Shafik who did amazing housekeeping and Abdu who was endlessly patient and attentive as our guest service attendant with a wealth of knowledge about the island and attentive . Also the pancake/flapjack chef made the kids day every morning at breakfast. We did not want to leave.

The atholl has a beautiful lagoon, probably the best we saw in Maldive. We stayed in beach villa number 103. In front of the villa the beach is spacious and the lagoon beatiful. The reef is not very large - the better part is near the main jetty but we saw many fishes and a lot of nurse sharks. The villas are very nice, more simple that some we found in other more expensive resorts, but with all you need. The island is not big but you have bycicles to go around. The staff is very friendly. We loved them and - for all my life - I’ll remember the tuna sashimi of the fish grill night at Kauni and the fire fish crackers at the white Orchid. In the complex a very good location

We had only some problems cause our butler was ill after some days. But Roberto, the manager, solved the problem.
