De price got a free upgrade so i aint complaning.

Never saw the owners or someone to see us. Only spoke once and it was a bit strange to get the key and cottage.

Spacious and had everything we needed. Large common area with plenty of outdoor space. Comfy beds and clean linens. All things considered, it was an excellent value. I loved all of the art hanging everywhere and enjoyed the pool table.

My only two issues were that we booked this place for two reasons, the price and it’s hot tub. I was told upon arrival that the hot tub was empty. Very disappointing after a long, cold, wet, windy day. My other problem is the self shutting doors. The heavy doors slam shut so if you have to share with inconsiderate guests, which we did, it can be very loud.

Hot tub didn't work.

When we arrived the friendly owner told us there was a problem because the cottage we booked was unavailable. Up till today it is still unclear if the cottage we booked simply doesn't exist or was double booked. He did make an offer to split our group up in 2 smaller cottages and returned half of the costs, which was a good offer and solution.

When we arrived one of the staff members nearly drove us of the road. At the reception we were ignored for 15 minutes by 2 of the staff who were having a conversation. When they finally dignified themselves to give us any attention we were told to call a number. The owner arrived 5 minutes later and he was very friendly. Since the large cottage at the riverside that we booked originially was unavailable and we got two smaller cottages I can only comment on the smaller cottages. They didn't look clean, the water smelled like rotten eggs so we did not dare to drink it before cooking (maybe it's perfectly safe though), the cutlery was sparse, there was little room, there was a draft and why on earth would you offer your guests towels with holes so big you can put your head in it? Is there a scarcity of towels in Iceland?

Nothing.

Avoid this place. I purchased a cottage with sofa, TV and double bed. We got a dirty cabin with two single beds and nothing else. No one was here to give us the key. A lot of noise during the night. I only hope to have not got bed bugs.

Nice and cosy property!

Was just a little below the standard we had been used to in Iceland. Not enough workspace for cooking and towels and bedding weren't great either, clean but a bit past it!

Nice warm little cottages with a nice river view.

There were holes in the sheets, smelly shower water and the sauna was not working.

Big living room, perfect heating

Bathroom very small , shower cabin door not fitting, washbasin tap out of proper order, sauna pipes in the open

Hot water bath was extraordinary!

Place is large and there is hot tub and sauna!

Pillows and bed aren't so comfortable !
