The common areas are wonderful with gorgeous views.
There were no screens on the windows in the sleeping areas. Mosquito nets are cumbersome.

Fantastic stay in a wonderful hostel - so good, I extended my stay with a few nights. Julie and Stephan were warm and welcoming, the open-plan kitchen is well-equipped with a huge dining area adjacent to it. The view from the two balconies is amazing - one is in the middle of a forest, with monkeys passing by every day. The waterfall is 5min up the road, there are trails to walk or hammocks to lie in if you just want to chill. All in all an excellent experience - I can fully recommend Cascade Verde Eco-Lodge and Hostel.

The jungle setting is STUNNING. I have never been so in love with a hostel before. You’re so close to nature and the sounds of the jungle, its really one of a kind. It’s also incredibly well run, has a spacious kitchen, and fun games. I really fell in love and wish I could stay longer.

It’s nice to have an affordable option in an expensive town
Uncomfortable bed, thin, mosquito netting, no ceiling on bedrooms? That would be an easy fix. And you can hear everything because there’s no soundproofing between rooms.
