The Stables - Deer Park Farm

Location was lovely, nice and quiet. Farm animals on site were a bonus, including alpacas, deer and Shetland ponies. Lots of wildlife as well

Nothing. It was perfect for us.

Location great.

Nothing.

It’s a ‘marmite’ location, your either going to ‘love it’🥰or ‘hate it’🫣 and it appears from the ratings that most people are sensible enough to realise, it’s converted stables on a 60 acre plot of land with animal noise’s and the odd spider web to contend with l, oh!..and iffy Wi-fi, but that everything works as it should👍..it’s a bit like 5 star ✨glamping I guess. The hosts are lovely🙏..and the sound of Owls🦉at bedtime and chirping birds🐦‍⬛at dawn is just ‘good for the soul!’

When I arrived housekeeping had not made my room up. The hosts very quickly moved to a more expensive suite at no extra charge (nice touch❣️) and everything was fine, until I went to bed at 11.00pm (ish) and put my head on the pillow and it was obvious from the smell that someone else had slept on it😵‍💫..no drama really as there were plenty of fresh smelling pillow-cases in the draw and I changed them and went to sleep. But there’s no getting away from the ‘converted stables’ noise of your neighbours ablutions & late night toilet flush. It’s a bit like a shared house in that respect I guess🤷‍♂️That and the sound of the planes talking off at the nearby airport first thing in the morning🛫 So!.. would I stay here again🤔..probably not if I’m honest. But then I don’t like Marmite either.🍻

Location, fact that they took dogs although an extra charge, other visitors friendly, quiet, good fridge/freezer, fan provided.

Towels are tired, bedding didn't fit duvet which was heavy for the summer, very limited kitchenette, very little hanging space.
