"Splendida spiaggia e molto buona la colazione. Piscina grande. Le camere forse andrebbero un pochino rimodernate"

This hotel is just perfect - ticks every box for a relaxing holiday: seaside location, stunning views, peaceful, comfortable accommodation and beautiful presentation. This was our 2nd visit (we also came in 2025). And they remembered us! So nice to see the welcome smiles of the hotel staff especially the guys at the front door and the ladies behind the reception desk. They gave us the same room as before on the 8th floor, it really felt like we were coming home. We love our spacious room with a veranda facing the sea and the little white church below. Can't get enough of the view of blue waters over a reef and Cape Zampa in the distance. Our bathroom was huge by Japanese standards, great water pressure even at all times of the day, nice smelling bath soap etc. and generous amount of towels. I must commend the housekeeping staff for their superior standard of cleanliness in all aspects. Really appreciate the welcome fruit platter in the fridge, the regular supply of water bottles and teabags. Also love the shopping options in the hotel - Dia downstairs and Mercado in the lobby - the late closing hours always make a pleasant distraction after dinner. We will definitely be coming back next year!
We were only allowed the snorkel inside the net perimeter. Apparently this is for stinger protection (September is still jellyfish season in Japan) but we would have appreciated more information from the lifeguards patrolling the beach on the likelihood of being stung. The net had huge holes and tears in them anyway so what's the point of restricting snorkellers? There's not much marine life to see over the sand. How about moving the net further out to sea to encompass a small part of the reef boulders? Also the coffee making option in the room is difficult to operate for non-Japanese visitors (it's a pod machine with Japanese instructions). How about a coffee-making machine on the ground floor so we can make our own coffee to take back to our room? Or supply coffee drip bags in the room.

The beach, the pool, the coral reef and snorkeling next to the hotel beach. The views.
Breakfast cues even though booking times slots for breakfast from your room via the app was working, so no need to wait in line. Did not like the aircon and smell of dampness. You can leave windows and balcony doors open but good luck with bugs. Hotel is big and iconic but needs renovation and cleaning. Some areas had spider webs from 50 years ago.

Overall architecture is excellent. It is in the Spanish colonial style. The staff are always helpful. The scenery is exceptionally great. Hotel shops do not charge more than the outside shops.
The hotel needs repainting. It has no ATM. It is about an hour-long bus journey from the hotel. The food situation is adverse for vegetarians and those who do not eat any meat. Food Prices are excessive.

The location at the beach is top.
The hotel is not well maintained and a bit worn out. Balconies were not clean. The restaurants are ok, but just medium level of quality. The lounge cafe was nice. The Teppanyaki restaurant was closed the whole time. Therefore we just took breakfast and took dinner outside the hotel.
