Well situated, just off the main tourist strip, and very easily accessible from the main road. It's just a short walk to the beach, and quite a pleasant one :) The staff is very friendly, and room is confortable, albeit a bit small.

The owner prefers to be paid in dollars, or in rupees but not at the current conversion rate. To be honest, it doesn't make a huge difference, it just adds a few hundred rupees to your bill, and it's still absolutely worth it.

Room was big with kitchen and bathroom

The wifi was not good. It was not a good place for a single traveller to stay.

Bed was super comfy and protected from mosquitos

No filtered water, also there was some issue with payment (owner only accepts usd or eur, make sure you bring either of those and you won't have a problem. It's to a large degree because of the labile economic situation in Sri Lanka, which causes the exchange rates to be messed up, and because booking.com didn't really warn us)

This is a great low budget apartment in an excellent location only a short walk from the beach and unawatuna main street.Owners are a lovely family. Apartment is clean and decent size.We were able to cook breakfast every day and keep a lion beer in the fridge for hot nights.
