The Maya Hotel

The staff acted very professional - an obvious reflection of good hospitality industry training being regionally available. The restaurant offered a great variety of meals and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The three rooms used by our family were spacious and very clean (albeit we requested one change, which was immediately provided).

One of our allocated rooms had a bad smell around the bath room but the porter staff immediately offered to contact reception for an alternative room. Booking.com customers be aware to carefully check your reservation's total guest number. If this is wrong, cancel and rebook as the hotel reception will charge you exuberant prices for any extra guests. In our case, we had entered all guest names but couldn't update the total number of guests online. Upon check out, the reception refused to accept our booking.com surcharge rate but demanded an overpriced fee instead.
