Spanish by the River - Turrialba

Great place to stay! We visited the Monument of Gauyabo by bus and the Café Vinas farm and had a great time! The place is very clean and well equipped. The staff is very nice and helpful with planning. Would always come back!

The location isn't great but Ubers are cheap to get to town and the surrounding nature is way better than any noisy city!

If you have a rental car, don‘t go there. They do not have parking lots as they mention, there is only a very narrow gateway to the hostel where you cannot cross with another car. Therefore if you are not present at the hostel the whole day, they expect you to leave the key at the office so that they can move all the cars if a car in the back has to leave. Only 1 shower and 3 toilets available for the whole hostel available. 2 toilets were always blocked, so you couldn‘t flush anymore. Toilet paper was missing in the evening as well as the next morning, seems like nobody is maintaining or cleaning the bathrooms.
