The location was great, lovely walks on the doorstep. We stayed across the road in the annex. Room is not big but perfect for what we needed. Large bed, comfortable mattress, lovely shower and clean. We had the room at the back, so was very quiet. Staff was also lovely and welcoming.

Great location, good choice of breakfast and evening meal was delicious.
We overlooked that he street so had people sitting underneath our window which was quite noisy at times.

We liked everything about the 'Three Horseshoes', from the warm welcome to our lovely clean and comfortable room. The food was excellent. We had breakfasts and dinners throughout our stay and they were fabulous. The location is perfect, right in the middle of Barnard Castle but quiet at night. There is free parking. We definitely recommend the 'Three Horseshoes'.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike.
