The breakfast was very good, the best kind of breakfast you would get at a riad, you can have it downstairs or on the rooftop with the morning sun and great views of Tangier, also some variation day to day. Also a great base location for exploring the city

Our airport transfer took us straight to the door, but it would be quite hard to find otherwise as it is down a few alleyways behind the main street, make sure to print off detailed directions, alternatively it is clearly marked on Google Maps

Tiny bathroom but it’s not a big deal because it’s an old traditional house

This place is amazing for those that are looking to experience staying at a traditional Tanger house in the old medina. There is a more modern area of the city which is completely different, not better or worse, just a different experience. Staying here means immersing yourself for a few days in the life of the inhabitants of the old kasbah. The house has all the comforts of the modern age (hot water, wifi which works great everywhere, etc) but the house design is still old school, it's from the time when multiple generations lived in the same house. That means going up the stairs through the living rooms. The terraces provide beautiful views of the city and allow you to absorb the coming and goings of daily life in the city. The house is located in a fully pedestrian street, you get there walking from the main kasbah street. Not too hard to get there but those with some mobility issues might have some trouble. On the main street there are convenience stores, pharmacies, restaurants, traditional cafés.... You have everything there. The main kasbah street is touristy for sure but getting into the kasbah side streets it's an adventure, there all the businesses are local and for locals. Even with Google maps it's tough to get by, you'll get lost but you'll discover so much. Try to explore during the day! From the inn it's easy to get to most of the tourist attractions by foot, 10-20 minutes at most. The beach is a bit farther away however. The room was very big, the bed a bit hard but comfortable, I slept very well. As mentioned the internet worked well, even on the upper floor and on the terrace. The breakfast was very good and complete; lots of bread, coffee, orange juice, sometimes an omelette sometimes a tortilla. You can let them know in advance when you want it and they'll knock on your door when it's ready. The employees were super nice and helpful, the owner too, always making sure you're doing well.

The shower and the sink are in the same place as the pictures show, at least the room I stayed in. You really need to plan how and when to use them!

I am more than happy to give this property the highest possible rating — despite not actually spending a single night there. We had booked accommodation for five people for two nights. Upon arrival, the owner/manager personally showed us the rooms. They would have been perfectly suitable for a family with children of different ages, but she immediately recognised that the arrangement would not be particularly comfortable for five fully grown men. What happened next deserves genuine appreciation. Rather than simply insisting that the accommodation matched the booking, she was completely open and honest about the situation. She offered to cancel our reservation without any penalty and, remarkably, even took the time to guide us towards finding suitable alternative accommodation nearby. She could easily have taken our money and left us to make the best of it. Instead, she put the comfort and interests of her guests ahead of the booking. That, to me, is hospitality at its very best: honesty, transparency, fairness and genuine concern for the guest. We may not have stayed here this time, but the way we were treated left a stronger impression than many places where we actually have stayed. Five stars, without hesitation.
