The hotel itself is charming, the host is wonderfully friendly, and it is a wonderful place to travel with a dog

Our host was amazingly helpful, welcoming and generous. A delight. She could not do enough for us. And her breakfast in the summer garden was delicious!
Rutherglen experiences a lot of heavy truck traffic passing through. You could hear it at night.

Chris the host made both of us and our dog SO welcome - I have never known such a welcoming host. We found the cottage well equipped for us but Chris had gone to great trouble providing everything a dog could need - including even some treats and a cover for the bed incase the dog jumped on it!!! There was also a secure yard for the dog. As for us the bed was so comfy and I got a relaxing, hot soak in the claw bath; bliss! There was a wide selection in the continental breakfast provided. Basically you can tell that Chris takes great pride and pleasure in the checking the smallest details in order for your stay to be the best it could be - even if only for one night. We will be back!

Dogs had an enclosed area to stretch
Host was a lovely and a generous person who loves dogs.
Got to watch the AFL game, good reception.
Quirky shower was very good.
Clean.
Way too small for a comfortable stop over, not the ‘cottage’ we saw on the photos.
Our space was not the cottage at all but an enclosed area to the side of the cottage which was very compact.
Shared kitchen and dining facilities not expected and not utilised.
