They kept my jacket which I had forgotten in my room. I remembered it in the evening and I found it packed. Even the sweet in my pockets still there. Even though I had to do a more than an hour return trip to collect it

I stayed at ANEW because the function I was attending was held there. What was dissappointing is that after numerous requests to be accommodated there for the second knight. They refused to change my booking that I mistakenly made at Hunters Rest. Even at check out I was told theu booked to capacity. Even when bookings.com showed availability. Only in the afternoon they told me they have space whilst I had already made bookings elsewhere. Maybe due to lack of competition they are not customer centric enough for me.

Convenient location. Friendly staff at check-in - although we ended up being checked into an unprepared room.

The room that we were initially given had not been cleaned. It was dirty and there was no bed linen on the beds. Then reception moved us to another room which was ready for new guests. We booked for 2 adults snd 2 children, however our room only had towels for 2 persons. We enquired about red wine by the glass at dinner and were told by the waitress that there was only one wine option available by the glass which was ‘House Dry Red’. However, we were surprised how expensive the wine was on the bill and when we asked at check-out if there was a wine list we found out there were indeed several choices of wine by the glass and that we had been charged for the expensive wine. One glass of wine cost more than my actual meal!
