At breakfast we only missed yogurts, otherwise it was ok; lokation of the hotel is practical because it is close to Taxim square.
We didn't like so much the microlocation, namely the street to the hotel is in bad condition and the buildings around the hotel are ugly or in bad shape which is a bit disturbing. But the hotel itself is quite pleasant.

They are frauds. They deal in cash, I am hundred percent sure that the owner is not aware of this kind of dealing. The manager and two other people keep the cash and some money in their wallets and give the actual amount to the driver. For example, one person said a mobile SIM cost 15 euros and when I checked out, the manager said a SIM cost 30 euros. Another instance was when I was checking out because I had to go to another country for a religious activity. I requested a taxi and the manager knew the amount of my luggage but booked the wrong size taxi and both the taxi driver and the manager wanted me to pay more. (You can guess I was going for religious activities and what the situation was). After much discussion when another taxi driver came, he was asking me for more money on the way, even though the manager told me that the taxi driver would not ask me for any money. I am not hiding anything, I can sit down in front of that Manager and repeat the same statement with more details.

Great location, close proximity to Taksim square and the metro station. Also the Istanbul Havabus (Airport shuttle) is a walking distance which is great value for money and saves a lot on commuting to and from the airport.
The facility have only one elevator, which can be challenging during peak times

I especially liked the help of the staff, Batuhan Hakan cfm serkan answered every question very willingly and gave courteous service.
Including the manager who helped and constantly suggested me where to travel.

The location is close to Taksim square and Istiklal St.
The room and bathroom are quite worn out. The flooring is peeling and mold in shower

Fantastic location, close to Airpoirt buses, and 100m from Taxim, metro, Funicular, etc. Simple, clean. Very nice staff.
Unfortunately, the street is a bit run down, owing to circumstances way beyond the hotel's responsibility

The hotel is very close to taxim center. Clean and comfortable. Very nice for the money you pay. If you are looking for luxury, this is not for you. Breakfast is simple and normal. Nothing fancy but it sure is clean and sufficient.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. To be honest about it. It is not fancy by any means but more like a family hotel. I have been in much better and worst, but here you feel comfortable and well liked...and this is my opinion...

The professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The ability of the manager to do a room upgrade based on issues reported to him and booking.com. The cleanliness of room 801 each time we walked in the room in the evening. The location of the hotel is very good since it's not too far from Taksim square and other attractions.
Maintenance of the facilities is poor. The breakfast was not appealing and lacked variety. We had breakfast only once at the hotel and decided to dine out for the remaining days. The communal toilet, stairs and some parts of the room were not clean such as the exhaust fan vents. The air-conditioner was not working in the previous room compared to the split system present in the new room after the upgrade. The reason provided was not justifiable since we stayed at other hotels in other parts of Turkey and the air-conditioner was functional during winter. We had to open the windows and couldn't sleep at all due to noise. The loose wall socket that is unsafe and had to be fixed on the same day after it was reported to the receptionist on duty. Some wires and pipes were in plain sight, when they should have been covered. The photos of the hotel rooms and other facilities on booking.com are out of date and very misleading. Compared to other hotels we've been to throughout Turkey, Taximist hotel is overpriced.

One of the best hotel in Istanbul i was 5 times in this hotel and I will back , all is perfect, the stuff is top... friendly .

the staff were welcoming and helpful. They upgraded my room to the one shown in the photos. They also facilitated early check in at the property as I arrived a bit earlier than the scheduled check in time.
The entrance to the hotel isn’t great and the building location didn’t feel very safe. There were some brawls happening in the street that I could see and hear from my window (which obviously isn’t the hotel’s fault).

Central location, close to Taksim and the Havaist Bus Station. Big Shower and free coffee and tea in the room. Wifi worked!
Room felt like it needs a renovation and didn‘t look like the pictures shown in booking.com. Mold in the bathroom, damages on the wall and floor. AirCon didn‘t work. Bed quite hard and not comfy. Room facing the street is very noisy due to traffic although booking.com description stated that the room would be sound isolated.
