Clean

Nothing

I arrived in the dark a bit later than expected, however, I’d received details of the key storage that day so was able to let myself in. The place was easy to find and was exactly as described in a beautiful, quiet, dark location. There was a feeling of spaciousness around the accommodation site with good parking. After a five hour car journey I instantly relaxed as I opened the door to The Hideaway, it was spotlessly clean and toasty warm on that chilly evening which was a very pleasant surprise. There is an on-site cafe which is not open every morning, I hadn’t intended having breakfast anyway. I met one member of cleaning staff as I left who looked purposeful and was very friendly and chatty. My stay was too short - one night only. I felt sorry to be leaving so soon.

The pillows are feather ones, I forgot to check this when I booked. It would be worth asking for alternatives beforehand if needed.

Location is quite and peaceful.

Place wasn’t clean and space is quite tight for 2 people. Bathroom was separate and quite far. No hot water available to take a shower. No one is available on reception to support. In morning no one’s available on cafe so wasn’t able to buy anything for breakfast. Not able to get any additional milk due to no stuff member were available so I have to drive 7 miles to get the milk and other food for ourselves.

In the countryside in a quiet location

Tired pods which are 14 years old and need remedial cosmetic attention. Door on shower cubical would not lock. Wet floor after shower in rest of block.
