Beautiful buildings in wonderful setting overlooking Ladysmith. As a military historian it was the perfect base for exploring the Anglo Boer war sites. All the Boer war paraphernalia and pictures were extremely interesting for me. Staff were all tremendous, from Nadine, through the kitchen team to the room cleaners. All so friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and very comfortable.
I wish the lighting on the bar area and adjoining room was better as the dim light made reading difficult - for an old man like me! Nothing to dislike.

We loved the historical photos on the walls, the friendly and helpful staff, the whole layout of the lodge, our great room with its amazing view over the city, our breakfast, the quiet and green suburb that it was in.....in fact everything!
Nothing that we didn't like.

Beautiful view, clean and comfortable accommodation. Very nice for a refreshing stay over along a road trip!
Breakfast was ok - could do with a few improvements.
