Cabin 1 at Westhaven Lodge w/ Dock, Boat Lift & Beach on Big Bay
Esistente sin dai primi anni '30, Westhaven Lodge e le sue cabine hanno una delle posizioni principali sul lato sud di Big Bay of Lake Vermilion. La cabina 1 ha il suo punto con un pozzo del fuoco, un molo e un ascensore per imbarcazioni e condivide una spiaggia con il lodge principale.

L'ascensore per barche può ospitare una barca fino a 20 piedi circa con una larghezza / larghezza massima di 8'-0 ". La cabina di 650 piedi quadrati ha una camera da letto con un letto matrimoniale, un'altra camera da letto con un letto a castello e due letti singoli e i divani a scomparsa nella camera familiare possono facilmente gestire altre due persone. È completamente rifinito con un interno in pino e ha un camino in granito. Gli animali domestici sono ammessi e un grande ponte corre lungo l'intero fronte (lato lago) della cabina. TV satellitare e Wi-Fi disponibili. Poiché il sole sorge e tramonta così lontano a nord in estate, il punto è l'ideale per guardare entrambi - basta alzarsi tardi e alzarsi presto!

Was very impressed by the exceptional cleanliness of this property despite being a very old cabin. The charm and unique historical craftsmanship was not lost on us. It was a comfortable stay for 4 adults and an infant. The room with the queen bed was large enough to set-up a play pen. The property was peaceful. Although you are quite close to the “lodge” next door, so if there is a rowdy group it might put a damper on your stay. The group next to us was considerate and we had no complaints. The only thing that was a negative for us was no air conditioning. (Would love a small freestanding unit in the main part of the cabin)Although it was really only an issue the first night we were there. 90 degrees and no wind made for an exceptionally hot cabin. It took awhile for temps to drop. Box fans were provided thank goodness. Heat is for sure something we should have considered more traveling with a 7 month old and an 80 year old. Just something I’d like others to be aware of! Would stay again. 90s aren’t typical for an end of may stay!

Definitely enjoyed my early season stay and being able to use the fireplace. The property is very conveniently located to several attractions. Only recommendation I have to pass on to others is to burn wood towards the back of the fireplace because the smoke curls over the edge if it’s towards the front and you will need to open a window to air it out. Otherwise, perfect for the getaway we needed to relax!

The cabin was a great place to rest after a day of fishing. I look forward to staying there again.

The overall location and yard area is beautiful and perfect, however there just seems to be some much needed TLC to these little cabin. Doors were hard to open, lights flickered constantly, and the boat lift needs a lot of updating. The lift hardly held our boat to begin with and then a storm hit which in return broke the lift and was not able to be fixed for the remainder of our stay. Overall, we have a good time despite the poor boat lift.
