Location and apartment was good

The location was excellent to be close to the fish market & city center. It’s also convenient to access the bus station and nearby public parking lot.
This apartment is on the third floor. There are 77 steps to the flat and the bedroom & bathroom are up more stairs. There is no elevator. It’s an attic unit, so there is a lot of heat being under the roof.
The A/C was a single room unit to cool the whole apartment. It was not sufficient for the apartment size. Since the bedroom is a loft, there was no door to close it. You have to manually drain a bucket with the condensed water from the unit.
The bathroom was old & outdated. The water heater did not work properly. There was no shower with consistent temperature. The included toiletries are hand soap and body wash only.
The apartment is not sound proof. There was a lot of noise from neighbors and from the construction on the floor below.
The pictures made it look like the room had a desk, but there was none.

Location! Beautiful views of Etna and Catania. Close to all the must see highlights of Catania. also close to restaurants and markets. Walking distance to bus and train services.
Comfort! Well-equipped with all you need in a home away from home! The aircon was great in the extreme heat!
Host helpful, friendly and informative! Accommodating and allowed early check-in.
We were on third floor, which meant climbing 79 steps each time as no lift is available. we coped, but not all tourists will…
TV only had local Italian channels.

Location was excellent, right next to downtown centre. Host was friendly and very helpful. Apartment was modern and stylish. A/C was very effective which is good for hot summer weather. Lots of fast food and slow cafes of all levels of style nearby.
A few more options for cooking pans in the kitchen would have been good. The neighbourhood has very noisy traffic at all hours, however soundproofing with windows closed is excellent. However this does mean you can't really open the windows.

location is just very perfect, spacious appartment, very kind and helpful host
fridge is old and maybe dangerous, bathroom outdated and not clean, not everything was working properly. No fire extinguishers, no fire alarms. Overall not a very safe place to stay.

Salvatore is a great host, the property is well maintained and clean.
It felt like a great community with the whole building.

A perfect location in the heart of Catania - all famous monuments are within a stone's throw from the Alcala Living Apartments. The bus (line "D") going to the city beach is 1 minute walk at Borsellino Bus Station. In the apartment you will find all needed equipment for a household. Air conditioning (very important when in Sicily) was also there. Adorable garden with plants and a social friendly cat located downstairs. The host Salvatore was very helpful and guiding all the time - from the time of the arrival until the time of our departure :) We can fully recommend Alcala Living Apartments for a stay in Catania.
Can be a little bit noisy as located in the neighborhood of the streets with lots of cars and traffic jams - however closing the windows in the apartment can reduce the noise to some acceptable levels. There is no elevator in the building - it wasn't problematic for us as we were located on the first floor but it could be possibly troublesome for people with some mobility limitations especially if located on higher floors.

very clean, excellent bathroom and kitchen, all fully equipped.
the only thing I didn’t like, was it’s position, a little noisy, but it was so close to everywhere you wanted to see!

It’s close to a bus station so it’s very easy to travel around the area. The host is extremely helpful and nice. He helped us with everything
The main bed is old and noisy, the sofa bed was very uncomfortable although Salvatore gave us a top mattress and the area is very noisy.

It's located in the middle of the city,closed to everything. The apartment is fully equipped, suitable for family with children like us. There is a small garden for children to play outside.
The host is very generous guy who is willing to help with everything.

The host was really welcoming and gave us great tips. He also waited late for our arrival because of minor issues at the airport. It was a great experience, with clean amenities and limited noise (centrally located so don’t expect pure silence).

Excellent location of the apartment, close to the wonderful fish market, the Cathedral of St. Agata and Duomo Square. It's hard to find a better location. Very nice and helpful host. Apartments spacious and very well equipped.
