La Via delle Biciclette

E’ una casa d’epoca meravigliosa! Il proprietario è stato sempre presente e ci ha dato moltissimi consigli. Colazione super e personalizzata. In centro storico, pulitissima e accogliente. Possibilità di lasciare i bagagli dopo il check out. Tutto SUPER!

Manlio is a friendly helpful and charming host that clearly loves what he does and takes pride in the apartment/B&B and sharing information about Palermo. We arrived early in the morning and while we waiting to be able to go to the apartment to leave our bags enjoyed a little cafe a couple blocks away. The neighborhood is safe and super convenient to walk to one of the main markets as well as over to the four corners area. In fact, it was pretty easy to walk everywhere from the aparment if you enjoy walking. There is a Lidl grocery store close by if you want snacks or drinks and the apartment has a fridge (shared) that you can leave things in if needed. Breakfast was wonderful and plentiful. Manlio accomodates both sweet and savory breakfasts, picking up pastries in the morning to go along with yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea and toast. The room was large with the bed and a little table and chairs. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size (but for the shower). Everything was spotless. Would absolutley stay here again on my next visit to Palermo.

Not really, "didn't like", just "to be aware": Shower is true to old European buildings and tiny and if you have knee issues or health issues, note that there are quite a few stairs to get up to the apartment and no elevator.

La Via delle Biciclette is a beautiful appartment in an old palace that has lots of character. It’s conveniently located just 10 minutes walk from the bus and train station and right on the historic centre so all of the main sites are nearby. Despite being in the centre it is very quiet. Manlio is a fantastic host - so friendly and helpful - he spent time explaining where to go and gave us lots of really good recommendations for restaurants. We thoroughly recommend staying here.

Having to leave!

Is a beautiful building, very clean in a very strategic location. You can walk 7 minutes to the train station and 5 minutes to the 4 coins that is kind of the centre of the action. At night is really calm street so I was able to have a good sleep. The breakfast is also really good.

There is no lift as it happens in many BB in Italy. For me is no problem, just wanted to note it so people know.
