Accommodation a bit basic

Eight of us stayed over night on our way to a family wedding. When we arrived the place was so busy but the staff went out of their way to check us in and show us to our rooms, which were amazing. The bar was cosy and welcoming and the food was amazing. Very impressed with Riverbank and its staff are a credit to the place. Would highly recommend.

Staff were friendly and room was clean.
Breakfast was tasty and main pub lounge was really well decorated and clean.
Check In was a bit unorganized :
We arrived and had to look around for a door/ desk to check in as main pub door was closed. A function was taking place in function room separately to main building which wasn’t connected to main pub.
Eventually we got in and had to wait for them to find our room key.
Our room (6) was v small and I think should probably be more suited to a single bedroom not a double bed up against a wall.
A small shelf in bathroom would be good for holding wash bags/ etc too.
