The room we eventually had was great - spacious and comfortable. The location is something quite special.

We swam in the pool once and found it slimy and dirty. On our last morning I watched the pool cleaner - what a joke. NOT good enough for a hotel of this level. We had originally booked an EAST WING room - on all the promotion this shows as part of the main building - what a CON - walking 100's of meters through long tunnel with steps every time you want to use a facility in main building. Lucky one of the kind front desk staff found us a room on 3rd floor of main building looking over the pool with a balcony. Perfect - but EAST WING is a CON.

The main hotel is very good however, the price which is announced in booking was for an extended building not the hotel it self. It was SCAM, when you arrive you have to pay more than 50% extra to stay at the hotel or otherwise they will accommodate you in the extended building which was far a way and not to the standard shown in Booking.

Valet on arrival was a very friendly and helpful man (sorry i didn't note his name). Indoor and outdoor pools were nice. On the hill overlooking Zurich so good if you don't like staying in the centre of the city. Decoration was cool. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, the hot selection was only warm.

Man on check-in was not so welcoming, didn't smile once so a big contrast to the valet we had just met. Information said Soul Street restaurant was open, but it was not, there was a choice of Italian or the Vault bar where the tables are the height for drinking not eating. We had a room in the East Wing, which is a considerable walk from the main hotel down a series of dark tunnels, the Valet said he would come get us whenever we wanted, but that took organising and waiting. A very big hotel with vibrant decor, however on a Monday night in late September we hardly saw any other guests, so it felt deserted and lacked atmosphere. It would be better to put everyone in the same area when it is not busy (and would save you cost)?
