Anna's Farm Stay

If you want something a bit different then do not hesitate to book here. Anna is a wonderful host and do take the dinner option to experience excellent South African home cooking. The farm itself is deep in the countryside and is an animal lovers paradise, the resident cats and dogs are so friendly and love attention they were a joy to be around. Do also sit on the veranda around sunset and watch countless different birds going about their evening business, the noises and activity are so relaxing, the sunset itself can also be very impressive. Annas local knowledge was excellent during my stay and i visited De Hoop Reserve one day and the lovely little town of Barydale the next, the drive to Barydale is just as much part of the experience through a picturesque mountain pass. If i could rate out of 100 Anna’s farm would still retain full marks for a truly memorable stay.

The place was beautiful, the farm is very lovely; dinner and breakfast were delicious but above all Anna was incredibly welcoming and caring ! It did felt like home away from home !

Anna ist super nett und es ist was besonders bei Ihr zu Nächtigen. Sie kocht toll und kümmert sich ganz liebevoll um einen. Das Abendessen als auch das Frühstück waren super lecker. Die Hunde und die Katze sind sehr lieb. Die Kommunikation mit Anna war ebenfalls sehr angenehm.

Es ist sehr kalt (wie überall zu dieser Zeit in Südafrika). Das Bad war nicht im Zimmer sondern im Nachbarzimmer. Es ist sehr hellhörig, man hört jeden Schritt und jedes Knattern und die Lage ist sehr weit außerhalb. Die Fähre sollte bis 15 Uhr fahren aber da diese an dem Tag früher Feierabend machte, musste wir 1,5h Umweg fahren (davor kann Anna natürlich nichts) - Liebe Grüße an Anna!! :)
