Front of house manager excellent
Noisy bar outside my window - apparently ok to be open to 3am. However once explained I slept ok

Spacious reception and appealing!!
The room was small but very accommodating for a single night. l liked the all in one glass amenities. Very clean and comfortable. Re booked the same room for my return to Christchurch in 10days time.

Location was perfect. Breakfast buffet was so good for its price. Room Service as well was splendid. Overall super happy with price paid.

Location was great! Nice and modern, rooms are very tiny but that’s what the pictures shows. Was very happy they had a mini fridge in room, even had shampoo conditioner and body wash that was amazing!!
Staff at reception were lovely but bar and restaurant staff were rude. Bathroom was a little dirty and toilet didn’t flush properly! Tv didn’t connect to the wifi.

It's the second time I stay at this hotel. I find it a convenient choice if you are looking for a budget-friendly and central location. The bar restaurant in the lobby is good and a few eateries and bars are a short walk from the hotel.
The bathroom has a towel shelf right above the toilet, and the room has a lot of light controls that take a while to figure out. Everything else was fine good.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Nothing to complain about. Staff ever willing to help.
My request for a wake up call did not happen. This was a day that we were taking the Tranz Alpine.

Access to laundry. Been able to access clean towels readily.
The TV going in the dining room. Did not want to eat there. I found it really off putting. We were having a drink and the TV music channel was on. It was great. Then bar oerson put a game show on. We left and went elsewhere.

The guy working in the bar was great and the meals were very good, it was easy and comfortable to sit downstairs
The room was so small I had to turn sideways to walk around the bed, bathroom was so small I accidentally dropped my toothbrush in the toilet bowl

The location was excellent for exploring the city, great buffet breakfast and the room was funky and comfortable. Ideal for a family wanting to explore the attractions in the CBD.

Had a lovely stay with BF Cashel. Staffs are superstarss, and housekeeps are A+++ always cleaning our room even though they don't have to. High appreciated that service. Would definitely stay again if we go back to ChCh. keep it up

The photos currently on booking.com for the City Urban King room show a separate bathroom but our room had a small glass pod instead. I have reviewed the photos after the hotels reply below, and the first photo of the room (attached) clearly does show a separate bathroom.

Tiny bathroom pod. Wifi not working. This was a problem with the hotels access point on our floor, and is not an internet provider issue as the hotels reply below suggests.
