The staff literally couldn't be more helpful. From arranging taxis, to making delicious meals, to storing my luggage, to letting me stay at the riad all day due to a very late departing flight. I visited this riad twice in a week around a hike of toubkal. They all remembered me and my name, asked how the tour was, peppered me with more tea and coffee than a girl knows what to do with, and tried at every turn to make my stay as easy and pleasant as possible. Stand out thank you to Saida who is just a ray of sunshine.

True Moroccan style and charm.

Not like all the other hotel rooms in Europe. I loved the traditional Moroccan architecture and quirky features. Small and friendly back street building easy walking distance from the markets and palaces.

Riad Nirvana is a very nice place to stay, and the location is excellent. Saeda and Naema are excellent hosts, very friendly. The place is warm and charming. Breakfast was good. The pool on the roof is cute and a great place for an after sunset evening dip. There is a seating area with a TV that has access to YouTube for a dose of comedy. The en suite bathroom was nicely renovated.

The room was very small, and beds were way too hard. I have lower back problems, and the beds caused pain. The riad needs an electrical upgrade. The air conditioner was out of service upon arrival, and technicians were called. They fixed the problem that evening, and the techs told me that the AC is fine, but the problem was electrical. The next day the AC was working fine, but when the people in the adjacent room turned on their AC, both units went out, perhaps due to circuit overload. Additionally, the wall switch that controls the ceiling fan sparks slightly when you turn the settings nob. I noticed this in the middle of the night when I turned it down. It was quite visible in the darkness. I didn't see this in the daytime.

The delicious breakfast and the central location were spot on.

The size of the room and the smell in the bathroom were off-putting.
