We stayed at Il Sogno di Lorna for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The two standout features of our stay here were the view and the friendliness of the host, Eleanora. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better view over Sorrento and the Bay of Naples, including Vesuvius. We used the balcony as often as possible for breakfast, or to watch cruise ships, fireworks and the sunset with a glass of wine. The view alone sells this place. The downside is that it's a 10 minute drive from Sorrento. Fortunately, with a bit of notice, Eleanora is happy to come down to the town to collect guests and that's what makes this place work. It does mean that you need to be well-organised enough to buy the things you need before heading back at the end of the day, as there are no shops or restaurants close to the apartment. (Eleanora does supply a few grocery items to get you started though.) There is a way to walk down into Sorrento, mostly on fairly quiet roads. We did this a few times at the crack of dawn as many of the excursions leave from Sorrento around 8am. We walked back on a few occasions too, but it is a bit of an uphill slog. If you're not a keen walker, best to ask for a lift. We also enjoying relaxing by the pool on the days we weren't out exploring. All-in-all a very memorable stay.

This was easily the most memorable stay of our honeymoon! Eleanora was such a kind and attentive host, and her home and property are absolutely beautiful. The views were amazing, and the location was perfect, just a 10-minute drive into the heart of Sorrento. Having a car was easy since we could park on her property and drive into the city when needed. Eleanora truly went above and beyond, even offering to take us to the port for one of our excursions and picking us up afterward. She has a beautiful property and an even bigger heart. She also got us flowers and a lovely bottle of bubbly for our honeymoon 🥹 We will absolutely stay here again! P.S. For animal lovers, she also has the sweetest dogs and cats. Mr. Milo greeted us every day and would even lead us to our room! ❤️

Absolutely everything the view the host was absolutely lovely and so accomadating. We couldn’t have asked for more. We were away from all the hustle and bustle yet not too far from town. We will return.

There was nothing to dislike

Eleonora & her family were so lovely & kind. They picked us up and dropped us back to the apartment whenever we wanted which was great as it’s about a 45 min walk uphill from Sorrento. The view from the apartment was absolutely breathtaking. There were 2 lovely dogs too!

Unfortunately the apartment was very dirty when we arrived & there was a musky/damp smell. There was also mould inside the dishwasher & washing machine - we didn’t bring this up at the time but I’m sure eleonora would’ve cleaned for us. The bed was very uncomfortable and the bed frame wasn’t accidentally attached the bed for some reason?! There are a few dogs nearby that bark quite a lot which causes a barking choir - didn’t bother us but might annoy other people!
