Seapoint House

Beautiful peaceful location, and Carol and team were brilliant.

We had a very pleasant 3-night stay at this wonderful, well-kept house. Carol is a perfect and friendly host and knows how to make her guests feel welcome. The room was very comfortable with a nice view and a lot of light. The breakfast was a delight and in a relaxed atmosphere. If you have not dared to try the full Irish breakfast, this is the place to give it a shot. Otherwise the fresh bakeries are great. Not very far to Westport for dinner and already in the right direction for a day on Achill Island. But we also started a day of Connemara from here. As on everything, Carol was happy to advise. Note that there are two accomodations with similar names in the area, this is Seapoint House B&B. If you travel by car, I think you can't go wrong with this place. We'd certainly return.

As a group of six, we liked everything about Seapoint House. Our rooms had sea views and were spacious and immaculate. The house has a large, comfy sitting room for guests to relax in, which was a bonus. The area was very quiet, located right beside Clew Bay. There was a nearby walk with a causeway to an adjoining island and higher ground with fabulous views over Clew Bay and of Clare Island. Breakfast was plentiful, with e.g. cereals, brown bread, fruit and juices, and included local smoked salmon and meats. The salmon melted in the mouth. We could make tea and coffee as we wished throughout our stay. A taxi service was readily available to go into Westport for dinner. The owner, Carol, provided a wonderful service, was welcoming and helpful, with very good advice, and also gave us the run of the house.
