It was relatively expensive for what I got for the time of year.

Absolutely amazing staff - some of the most considerate and helpful we have ever come across! We broke down in our car about an hour and a half away from the town. We called the hotel and explained what had happened - and not only did they connect us with a tow truck to take our car to a repair shop, but they also offered us a lovely cozy apartment for the same price as our room booking - as we broke down on a Friday evening and the repair shop didn't open again until the Monday so instead of one night we ended up there for 4. We loved the homeliness of the hotel, and the knowledgeability of the local area - any time we needed advice on a walk to discover the staff were on hand with suggestions.
