The property is very modern and very well maintained. It’s is located not too far from the Metro station.
There was nothing I didn’t like.

This was a great place to stay for doing the Great North Run. It was so easy to get in and out of Newcastle being just a 7-min walk to the metro, and walking to a shower and bed after the race was ideal—much better than queuing for a bus or train to get back into town. They even left a welcome snack for runners which was a nice touch. The room does the most with a tiny amount of space and everything was clean and fit for purpose. Code entry to the hotel and to the room made it easy to not have to carry keys. Easy access to the beach in 5 minutes walking.
The single room and especially the shower were small for me (5'2) so anyone bigger might feel very cramped. Also amenities are limited, and even moreso when there's no staff on site since they're not there around the clock. The walls are also very thin and the TV and conversations next door sounded like they were in my room.

Location for the end of the Great North Run
The room was nothing like the photos, very basic, and lots of broken or poor quality fittings. Mattress was very uncomfortable. We had a sofa in the room but again, old and worn. The overhead light had missing/shattered bulbs, the en-suite sink was tiny, the toilet roll holder was hanging off the door, no water in the shower or sink in the morning of one of our days. Also, in the block of rooms (107 building), there is a kitchen on the ground floor, but it was in a disgusting condition and completely unusable, even the toaster.
