We loved the convenient yet rural location, the setting and the friendly owner. There’s a nice walk into Buxton which on,y took 20 minutes or so.
We felt it wasn’t equipped as well as other places we have stayed in. In particular, there was no shower gel, shampoo or even soap in the bathroom. We would expect these as a minimum. And many places have at least some basic foods in the kitchen cupboard and more / better crockery, glasses and other kitchen equipment.
Also the double bed wasn’t made up and there was only one duvet on the bunk beds (Another was under the double bed). Luckily only one of us needed a duvet as the weather was warm and I’m sure the owner would have sorted this if we’d asked.
