This was a really good place and we will stay again if we can in the future. The hosts were very good, food was great in the evening and breakfast was basic but very good (even had some fruit). This is a place run by people who are not yet bitter and are rightly proud of what they have created. The town was nice and had the basics. We found a nice tabac/bar while we were waiting to check in. We arrived by bike and the hotel had a space nearby to lock our bikes up at night. the place has been thoughtfully restored.
I can only imagine it might be very hot in the summer days. we were in September and it was OK but we used the fan to try and cool the room when the air temperature got down in the evening. We would have preferred a more affordable wine with dinner.

Eine typische französische Auberge mitten in einem kleinen Dorf. Sehr freundlicher Inhaber und lecker französisches Frühstück. Sehr bequeme Betten. Tolle Lage für Ausflüge in die Umgebung.
Ein bessere Beleuchtung im Bad wäre schön gewesen.

Nous avons aimé l’accueil chaleureux de la part des propriétaires ainsi que la qualité de leur cuisine. Le cadre était magnifique et nous avons passé un très très bon moment.

Chambre spacieuse avec balcon/terrasse
Tranquillité
Le petit-déjeuner : beaucoup trop cher (12€) par rapport à la maigre prestation ! Il m'arrive de séjourner dans un hôtel d'Aubenas, où le petit-déjeuner est un buffet à volonté coûtant 8,90€ avec fromage, charcuterie, oeufs durs, viennoiseries variées, fromage blanc, yaourts, et boissons chaudes et froides. A l'auberge de Montpezat, rien de tout ça, et un tarif beaucoup plus élevé hélas. De ce fait, cela incite les clients à déjeuner dans leur chambre par leurs propres moyens. Dommage pour eux, et pour l'auberge !
