The Brighton Apartments

The view. The comfortable beds. The general facilities. The bath. The service.

Carpet was not laid properly and there were ridges in flooring. The verandah was not cleaned.

Location

Broken glass in fridge on arrival - aka they had not looked in the fridge between guests. Lift was not working so with elderly parents who could not climb steps we ended up on ground floor and did not get the rooms with the view we paid for.

Location and security worked well for the purpose of our stay. Clean linen and towels, tea/coffee and biscuits

The bathrooms are showing tiredness in the internal facing studio room.

Check-in was super easy, location was excellent, apartment was a great size, beds were comfortable and the linen was good quality. The view from the balcony was lovely, especially at sunset.

Apartment ostensibly slept 6 with the sofa bed but there was only a dining table for 3 (?!), forks for 4 and spoons for 5. The kitchen wasn’t really “serviced apartment” level. One frypan, two tiny saucepans, very few implements, no other pots or appliances. No large bowls. No pasta/soup bowls. No salt or pepper sachets. Range-hood didn’t work. The dishwasher didn’t clean properly, everything was left with a greasy layer after washing. Bathrooms had almost no hooks/rails. Nowhere to hang a hand towel, and the one towel rail in the master ensuite was directly over the toilet which was a bit gross. No cushions on the couch. Master bedroom fan wasn’t working, and the apartment was quite stuffy in warm weather. Couldn’t sleep with the door open, as the traffic/pedestrian noise was too loud. 2 keys would have been appreciated so we could each cone and go, and the apartment needs a vacuum or a way to tidy up the carpet.
