The location on the river is excellent. Having ducks and swans passing the bedroom window in the morning was lovely. Apartment was well equipped and spacious for 2 people. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. We could store our bikes securely

The Arkabarka is not a sterile hostel; it is a floating building with a life of its own. Because of the constant waves on the Danube, the boat is always moving slightly, so rooms and bathrooms can feel a little different from one day to the next. Repairs are only carried out during strong ebb and flood tides, which is completely understandable for a boat and did not bother me at all. In fact, this gentle movement is part of what makes the stay special. What I appreciated most was the positive atmosphere and the encounters with international guests: I met travelers from many countries, had great conversations in the shared areas, and always felt welcome. The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke excellent English. The location directly on the Danube with views toward Kalemegdan is one of the best in Belgrade. If you expect absolute stability, remember this is a boat. If you are open to it, you get a unique hostel experience with a warm, international vibe. 4/5.

Nice idea to sleep on the water. It takes some time to go by foot and then bus to the city but it’s for free. You can get drinks on the terrace with view on to the river.

Air conditioning wasn’t working, the bathroom was a bit small and dirty. We had no towels in the room. The entrance is a bit smelly and not so clean. Quite expensive for what you get. Hard to reach with suitcases.

The hot water was coming and going. The room was advertised as deluxe double room, with a kettle - no kettle. Not very flexible with hours, had to pay for an additional two nights (my flight was very early in the morning so I had to pay a whole day in advance, same thing with last night, I practically paid for 6 nights and spent 4). The posterminal they have doesn't work with NFC and modern technology, the final some I paied was slightly higher than the one on the booking, probably conversion rate.
