Very comfortable room, beautiful bed linen, well kept, pretty gardens and a very large pool. Lots of choice at breakfast and friendly helpful service in general. Quick and efficient service and resolution when we had a problem with lack of hot water.
The property was very busy with evening events during our stay and it felt as if the hotel was set up more to cater for events than residents. It wasn’t clear to which parts of the main building we had access, sometimes difficult to find staff during the day to help with drinks or snacks. The pool area felt rather stark and soulless during the day - the pool hoover was always in the water lots of tables and chairs around ready for events, no plants and greenery to soften the surroundings unlike the rest of the gardens.
