A nossa estadia veio de encontro ao que procurávamos. Os funcionários sempre atentos e de acordo com os nossos desejos.
Fomos surpreendidos com um miminho de aniversário e foi bastante agradável.
Gostámos de tudo em geral por dentro e a paisagem era maravilhosa.

Everything abaout this place is super with the exception of "how to get there". It requires a skullid driver to be able to drive up (down) to the property in extremely narrow roads with a massive incline.
Perhaps lookibg at the possibility of heating the swimming pool. It woul garantee extended use of it.

Such a beautiful and deserted place to stay. The house is amazing

The location is beautiful next to the Douro river. The building is beautiful renovated. The wellness facilities were nice. Breakfast was ok (although no buffet). The location is almost like in Asia or South America so beautiful. I liked that we could use the kitchen too.
Would have preferred if breakfast starts at 8 instead of 9. But the main issue with this accommodation is the road to it. You have to be a skilled driver and need a proper engine as the road is extremely steep. (And very narrow on some spots). With a fully packed car, and maybe a bit of a wet road, I could not get up without having some speed, which was hard when we left as the place was fully parked, and left us almost no room to get up to speed, scary stuff with a baby on board.
Every time I drove up that road I hoped to have no traffic coming towards me as I would not know what to do. Maybe adding traffic lights would be an improvement. Or if the owners could provide parking above, with a shuttle service.

Douro green is perfectly located! Andréia welcomed us so well! We felts so special!
I liked everything. Could be a option have heater in the swimming pool so people can enjoy winter as well. The view is absolutely stunning!

quiet and clean, i love the room, nice view over the river, good service, staff was nice. Have an outdoor pool, indoor jacuzzi and sauna. Breakfast was good. Is a good place to clear your mind and be far from the city noises.

Little further out of the Douro main region but it did have very beautiful hikes near by

- very friendly & helpful staff
- the drive down and back up the hill to the property is very tricky, steep and frightening.
- kitchen not so well equipped for large group cooking (we were a family of 9)
- Pity there were no hammocks foreseen at the picknick area

The location by the river is outstanding…
Getting in and out of the hotel is always a relatively long drive in curvy roads.

The location and views are really amazing. Great spot to relax with friends and family.
Not all facilities were working or were available: no fitness equipment available, no jacuzzi and no laundry facilities. The road to the property is indeed challenging, as a lot of the reviews already mention

If douro green had food options available it would be perfect - as the access is difficult, having food options or a delivery option could improve the experience, specially when guests arrive late

Super friendly and professional staff.
the location is somewhat a mixed feeling. It is riverside and marvellous. But the road to get there is pretty terrible. You can have a pretty bad experience on that road that can undermine all your stay. super narrow and steep. And I mean STEEP. One way only and if you happen to meet with another vehicle on the road can be really really difficult if you are not a very experienced driver. It makes it really discouraging to go out for a meal or something. You don't want to ride that road. This for me was a major mood killer as I worried a lot about the car skidding on the rain. Even skipped supper to avoid riding!
Eventually everything worked out OK. But the disconfort was always present and that is something I do not want on vacation.
