The terrace overlooking the Orange River. The manager was friendly and informative

We had a lovely and peaceful stay at Orange River Rafting Lodge. It’s such a relaxing getaway, especially if you want to escape the busy cities and towns.
The lodge has a restaurant and bar on the property, a swimming pool and a laundry room, which made our stay really convenient. The staff were very welcoming, and each chalet has its own braai area outside.
Our chalet was spacious and had a fully equipped kitchen and air conditioning. We also loved that the lodge is pet-friendly, which is a big plus for us when traveling with our furry family member.
There are no TVs in the chalets, only at the restaurant, but honestly, we enjoyed the break from screens and found it made the stay even more relaxing.
The lodge is also conveniently located about 10 km from the Namibia border control, making it a great stopover before crossing the border.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again, hopefully for a longer stay next time!
There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like. The only thing to keep in mind is that there are no TVs in the chalets, but for us, that actually added to the peaceful and relaxing experience.

Great location and well accommodating fir the whole family.
Our chalet had a very bad odour that was prominent as soon as you walked in. It was present in every room and did not disappear even after opening all windows and doors. Bathroom also required a good deep cleaning. We booked two chalets and had no issues at the other one. We are planning our next trip there and will be sure to request this .

The food at dinner was very nice except for the flies and bugs around whole time I suggest some kind of net or someone at the restaurant area
